WICHITA, Kan.- Cessna Stadium, on the campus of Wichita State University, played host to Hippiefest on August 4. The event began at 7:30 p.m. and showcased The Turtles featuring Flo and Eddie ("Happy Together", "Eve of Destruction", "Elenore") The Zombies featuring Colin Blunstone & Rod Argent ("I Love You", "Tell Her No", "Time of the Season"), Mountain featuring Leslie West & Corky Laing ("Mississippi Queen, "Nantucket Sleighride"), Iron Butterfly, Mitch Ryder ("Devil with a Blue Dress On", "Good Golly Miss Molly"), Badfinger featuring Joey Molland ("Come and Get It", "No Matter What", "Day After Day"), Denny Laine and Country Joe McDonald ("I Feel Like I'm Fixin' to Die Rag) and (1 2 3 4, What are We Fighting For ?).
